Baby's nickname

When I was pregnant with my little girl we decided not to find out the sex, so until we met her we named her 'little bean'. We still call her that now, but now we've expanded into 'pickle' too. I'm curious to know what nicknames everyone has given their babies, before or after birth?

I know someone who called their bump Peanut, and now he's born he still gets called Peanut far more often than his actual name.

This thread is so sweet! When I was pregnant my little girl was nicknamed Flicker. I've already decided to nickname the next one Flutter.

Both were baba. Now they are older 4 and 5 they switch between pickle pie , monkey and monster. Occasionally baba but only when we're at home.

@AccrualIntentions We were expecting a gremlin too!! Smile

Now he's born, he's called a diminutive of his name or Smoosh (because he has such a cute smooshy, sleepy face).

We didn't want to know the sex. We called our baby fidget because he or she was always fidgeting when I was pregnant. Or we'd say little person.
When I gave birth, we found out we had a boy, and since he's been little man. A girl would have been little lady.
Also sometimes we say gorgeous, or Angel as well.
Occasionally we use his actual name as well haha.

"The Boy" now he's "first name bear" or "wigglemunch"

Somehow in a discussion about the new embryo this one I'm pregnant with now became "Embry." Even though he/she is now a fetus.

DS has various nicknames. The main two at present are

Little Weed - because he is growing like a weed

Captain Grumpy Pants - because he always frowns when he tries to focus on something and just looks really grumpy

Bump was beefy (she was a product of a bottle of beefeater gin) but I now call her pumpkin face quite a lot - to which she finds very funny (6mo!) she's gunna hate me on Halloween though dressed as a pumpkin....

I call my DD various things. A few examples are "Bumpkin", "Bubba Chumps", "Bubba Grumps", "Little Squidge" and "Squidge Sqwodge". I have no idea how I make them up but there is almost a new one every day.

Ours was Egg-bert (as in Egbert) but of course it didn't stick!

DD1 was known as Sproggle when I was pregnant, which evolved to Sproglette once born. She isn't called that now, but has the nicknames Chicken, bear, bear, Gremlin, and erm... for a while (not within her earshot) The Difficult One Blush She's 3yo
DD2 was Sprog 2 whilst pregnant. She is now known as bear, bear, Goblin (by DH), and for her first 6m of life The Easy One. She's 15mo.
