am i mad to be potty training two 2 year olds @ same time?

i'm a childminder and my ds is pretty good about using potty for wee's he's only done one poo in pot so far . I thought i'd offer to try & do mindee 2.2years girl @ same time during easter break as she's quite keen @ home.In last 2 days my ds has done massive wee's on the floor when left nappyless. . .

i'm not expecting it to be easy but i don't want my house to stink of wee&poo!!!

My dd2 (2.9) uses her potty really well and ds (19mo) is copying her - not so well.

So we have wee and poo all over the place on a regular basis, but he's getting better!

we resorted to using chocolate as a reward and dd potty trained in one day when we did... pmsl.

do you have any tiled or hardfloored rooms you can contain them in?

lucky for me all of downstairs is either tiled or floorboards(with no gaps)

good about the floors, our are tiled too and it makes everything easier.

i put dd in knickers and pyjama pants too which are easily taken down and easy to wash as it helps minimise the mess.... especially if you have other kids to watch

i think too they will spur each other on - my dd took to it quite quickly as she is a sticker addict so we used to put a sticker on a tile in the toilet every time we had success and it worked a treat. Nightmare to remove though lol!
