Is this just a phase?? DD's 18 months old, goes to nursery 3 days a week and loves it but we went on holiday couple of weeks ago and she wanted to be with me all the time, even leaving her with her dad was an ordeal. She won't walk without holding my hand, wants to be picked up all the time and wants lots of cuddles (which is nice of course!). Got back at the weekend and she's now really clingy with the girls at nursery - crying if they leave the room etc.

Is it just cos of disruption caused by holidays do you think or a phase - please tell me it'll pass! I was quite shy as a child and just really hoping I can help DD become confident etc, so am conscious that if this is a phase and she just needs my reassurance then obviously I want to give her it, but don't want to then make it the norm. What a complete minefield this parenting stuff is!!!

Anyone got any tips??!

It's a phase, but I feel that way about many aspects of parenting!
Holidays can be traumatic at this age, and you will be her fixed point (that said my boys seem to have a daddy fixation on holiday, but same difference). Give it a couple of weeks, and she'll beback to her normal self.
