Maxi Cosy Cabriofix Car Seat and Isofix base

Hi all

I am really struggling with the following for the maxi Cosy cabriofix car seat and isofix base:-

  1. Pulling forward and back the bar on the cabriofix seat. I struggle to do this when the car seat is fitted on the base as I feel I don't have the strength required to push down the side levers at the same time
  1. I'm finding it very hard to pull out the seat from the isofix base

Is anyone else finding this? Are there care seats easier to use than this especially once baby is 6 months plus??

That should say car seats and not care seats!

Hiya

I had the maxi cosi cabriofix car seat, but didn't use the ISO-fix base. I just used the car seat belt to strap it in and found it so easy! We've just stopped using It as DS is too heavy in it now (10 months). My partner had a car seat ISO-fix in his car but we always used the maxi cosi.

Hi op

I have the family isofix and the same car seat as you.

I don't tend to have issues pulling back the bar of the car seat itself but I do agree it's very fiddly when trying to lift the seat with baby in off the isofix I'm looking forward to when my DS is 6 months old I can leave car seat in the car and just lift him in and out of it then rather than try move the seat etc.

I'm in the same boat as well as to whether I will get the next maxi cosi pearl seat or look at another car seat that's easier when time is ready sorry I can't be of much use but what I will be doing is going to somewhere like mother care or Halfords for a bit more advice and look at other car seats and hopefully pick best one for me and DS

We had this car seat and yes it's stiff to pull out. I just didn't bother removing it from the car and used pushchair or sling out and about.

I have the same seat/base. Find the family fix base easier than the isofix. Handle is fiddly because of the angle when it's in the car.

Next seat - I doubt there is one in the next size up that has a handle because it's not really practical to carry a seat plus the weight of a 12 month plus child. Therefore you'll rarely remove it from the car either. So both of your difficulties will not apply to the next size seat, so if you can put up with it until your child is 12 months.

Same here - it's so tricky to lift out. There is NO chance of DD staying asleep if I try to take out the seat!
