Hello! 30 weeks pregnant first time mum to be and about to start the first module of the Early Childhood course with the Open University.

Anyone else doing this module?

Would love to meet other mum students for support :)

Hi, I didn't want you to have no responses.
I finished my Early Years degree with the OU last year and this October am starting on a MA Childhood & Youth with them.
You will, I am sure, enjoy the course once you get used to the study pattern etc. Make sure you tell your tutor about your pregnancy so you can make use of extensions for TMA's, (assignments) etc.
There is usually a Facebook group for each years module you can join as well, plus the modules own forums, both general & tutor specific. Once your module website is open you can find out more on there.
Good luck.

Hi I have been looking into this but am unsure of how much practical experience I need to gain at the same time? Can I ask
What your plan is with regards to this? I am already a nursery nurse (but don't currently work
In childcare) and have 3 children of my own aged 3-9. I could fit in the written work but not sure I have enough time to volunteer somewhere as well!
