Pocket money for 8 and 6

My 8 year old has suddenly worked out that pocket money might be interesting. She has agreed that it is reasonable to link it to being "grown up" and helping out with chores and trying new foods.

What is reasonable for 8 year olds these days?

We're in London, if that makes any difference.

I give my 6 year old £3 a week so I'd say maybe £5 a week for 8 year old .
