Teething?

First time mum here 😊
My baby is 4 months old and has always been a great sleeper.
Recently he's been drooling lots, putting his hands and fists in his mouth and wincing when he does so.
The last few days or so he has had random episodes of crying when taking his bottle, and tonight he woke up and just started crying 😟 He was putting his hands in his mouth too.
Is this teething signs?
Do babies really wake up crying in the night with teething discomfort and pain?
I often see my friends up with their babies due to teething but haven't experienced it myself so not sure what to expect 😬
Thanks guys

Hi Op

It sounds like teething my DS is coming upto 5 months and has been teething on and off for the last month or so.
It affects his feeding he will bite down on the bottle teat or refuse to eat because his gums hurt he's dribbling loads to point where he soaks through a bib in under an hour at times.
He's not woke up crying in the night though but every child is different.

We are currently using dentinox gel and anbesol liquid which we only use when it seems bad for him and I'll only put the liquid on once in morning and just before bedtime.

I can't wait for his teeth to show already now

Sounds like teething to me! My dd did all that for a couple of months before her teeth even made a proper appearance. They still move atriums in the gums and can take a long time to actually break through.
