OU to Brick Uni - your experience?

Hi! So I'm thinking of doing a computer science degree, it would be my second bachelor. Funding is not an issue at the moment, I'm just trying to plan ahead to get the best outcome.

I'm looking to start a computer / data science degree at OU part time and transfer to a brick uni (would also have to be part time) after a year or two.

I've heard people have done this for some courses but unsure about a few things:

  1. Would I be able to get into any half decent uni having completed 120 credits at OU?

  2. Would I be able to enter into year 2 / year 3 (if I choose to stay with OU for an extra year.)

  3. Is OU a respectable institution? I've got an offer to start part time with my local uni but it's really low down the league tables AND the degree would take 6 years (!) part time - whereas I know some other brick uni courses can be done in 4.

I'd appreciate advice or your thoughts & experience. Thank you.
