What would be a good present for a 2 year old? I would like to spend £40 or less. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Our soon to be two year old is getting Happyland toys, train set, simple jigsaws and some books. Lots of books!

Duplo farm. Wow toys (they have a shop on Amazon if you search). Casdon oven (also on Amazon), plus batteries for it, makes sounds, lights up, comes with play food and saucepans etc, takes up hardly any space.

Mine has a balance bike and a scooter for her 2nd birthday.

We bought our great niece a Little tykes car transporter for her 2nd birthday. About £30 and excellent value .

Look at the Babipur website. Beautiful wooden toys that encourage imaginative play and they also look lovely on a shelf. We have quite a lot of things from them and their customer service is ace too. I sound like an advert, I'm not! Grin

Little tikes large car carrier - all boys love

thatorchidmoment · 23/08/2017 18:54

Duplo
Wooden train set (Brio, Ikea or John Lewis all have a good range with tracks, bridges etc that are compatible with each other)
Scuttlebug scooter/trike
Little white company has some lovely wooden toys that my boys always gravitate to: there's a wooden bus with passengers and a Noah's ark. I think they are about £50 but you can usually get 15 to 20% off if you search for discount codes.
Bedding?

Wooden railway

DD (2 last week) got playmobil Noah's Ark, toy food, wooden fruit that you can 'cut', doll's cradle, puzzle, and books. The wooden fruit went down really well!

I think you should open an account in their name which you could put money into every year for their future. A 2 year old doesn't need any more toys. My parents did this for both of my kids.

Thank you, I will look into these and also the savings account is brilliant too, I would never have thought of that.
