Hi mums I need some advice! LO is 4months old. when I first got pregnant I thought I would just 'go with the flow' how wrong I was and have discovered just how important routine is. He takes his longest nap at lunch from 12-2.15 which I am always at home for so he can sleep in his cot! All of my NCT girls go out for the day or go to classes but more often than not they clash with the lunchtime nap. None of them seem to have any kind of daytime nap routine their babies just sleep whenever and wherever! Am I crazy to stay at home for this?!? If I go out in the pram he will sleep 40mins max he seems to of developed FOMO whereas in the cot over 2hours And I almost feel like it's then unfair on him! He sleeps perfectly at night so do you think I should mess this up by trying to make him more flexible where he sleeps or just ride it out! I'm quite happy to stay at home for his long sleep but I feel like my NCT group think I'm crazy lol. Please tell me there are others who do the same as me! Thanks

Not wanting to jinx anything, but these things change quickly, so enjoy the peace and quiet while you can! Even hoping he continues to be a good napper, the timing may well change, so don't overthink if too much.

If there's something you really want to go to, I don't think it would harm for him to have a shorter nap in the pram. But personally I think babies are a lot easier if they've slept well so I'd be inclined to stay at home for most of the midday naps too!

Yes those are my thoughts exactly! Time will fly then I will have a crazy 3year old on the go all the time! Plus totally agree with you it's no fun when they get overtired! I'm quite enjoying the 2hours to do housework and get a bit of me time even the ocassional nap myself hahaha
