DD is nearly 13 months old, she has never been a great sleeper and will go from 9pm-6am at night normally waking atleast once sometimes only for a breastfeed, sometimes for hours to play. Up until now she naps 9am-11am then again about 3-4pm. However recently despite the same night sleeps she isn't sleepy at all until around 11.30am, by then I try to keep her awake for lunch then she does 12.30-3 ish.

Is this enough sleep for this age? DC1 always slept 7-7 at night then two naps unt about 18 months!

How is she during the day, does she seem tired and constantly grumpy? If not then I'd say she's probably getting enough sleep.

DD2 definitely needs less sleep than DD1 did at her age, and went down to one nap at around 12 months.

My DD is just coming up to 13 months and is down to one nap as well. She's never been a good daytime sleeper, so one nap seems to work better as she has longer. She sleeps 730pm- 630am but still wakes in the night 1-2 times. I have been quite stressed about it but I am just trying to tell myself if she's tired she will sleep.

Thank you both.

Did the one nap mainly fall in the morning or afternoon or just whenever they get tired? I'm hoping maybe dropping a nap could make her a bit more sleepy at night!

The last few nights she has been up from 1/2ish until around 5 Shock

Oh poor you, we had a spell of might time waking for a while, hopefully she will be more tired with just one nap. It made a difference to my DD as she goes down to sleep much easier now. I try to do her nap around 12 ish but if we are out and about with her brother then it could be bit later in the car and then transfer her. As I also have a nearly 3 year old she has to fit in with his schedule a bit as well! Good luck and I hope you get more sleep soon!

Mine has only just dropped her second nap and she's 20 months. I flipping love a daytime nap.

17 months, it happened very naturally.
