Take in bathroom with steamy shower on (or use a humidifier in bedroom)

Keep the heating off

Vicks on feet then socks

I can recommend Aennon humidifier. Have tried other more expensive ones and happiest with this one so far. Plus its virtually silent. Has helped mine with coughs. Currently £39.97 on Amazon.

If the cough is caused by mucus tricking down to his throat you can use saline nasal drops.
