Wambamboo v bambineo

I'm currently research cloth nappies as I like to start using them when my babys born in May. I like the sound of the bamboo nappies and wondered whether there is any difference between the wambamboo and the new Bambineos. If anyone's used both, would you say it is worth waiting until Bambineos become available as single nappies (rather than packs which I don't want) or order the Wambamboos? Please help!!

Um, they are the same as far as I am aware. I have one of each (one new label and one old) and they are identical apart from the colour.

Yes there is a difference between them. The Bambineos are thicker bamboo terry, have longer crossover tabs and a larger, longer booster. The Bambineos are available as single nappies already however mainly in the Pistachio colour as old Wam Bamboo stock is still being used up. They come in aplix or nippa and we will soon be getting popper version too which is new! Size 1 is only available in cream however the size 2 nippa version can be folded down to be used for a younger baby. You could always start with a Bambineo Trial Kit to see how you like them - these are only available for the newer Bambineo nappies and include a new bambineo wrap too.

Personally i have both and like both - i think the newer version can go slightly longer though being thicker but then the older ones are gonna be very slightly trimmer which can be a plus - hope this helps

That is interesting Nappyneeds, when mine were new I put one on top of the other and stretched them out and couldn't see a difference. The green one did feel a bit different at first but isn't significantly noticable now.

As far as I have noticed the sizes are the same.

There is longer velcro on the velcro ones, and it is a more sturdy kind (so longer lasting). Yes, and longer wider boosters and a longer pile terry.

I have some pink size 2 nippa bambineos in stock, otherwise it is a case of waiting for the new ones, having pistachio ones, a trial kit, or yu can pre-order popper ones now.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
Flamesparrow - I've had a look at your shop and just wondered how long it will be before I can get the size 2 nippas in cream?
