Not coping with my baby

Please help. My daughter is almost 2 & I'm really not coping with her. She's always screaming & crying. I've got bruises from where she's launched her toys at me so much. She constantly wakes in the night & doesn't give you a break. My mum has to help me because I really can't cope. I'm constantly worried & can't have proper time to myself. I love her so much but sometimes I miss my old life. Sad

It will get easier. Are you single, have good routine or doing shifts or other difficult time constraints?

Have you talked to anyone IRL?

If you're feeling really low do talk to your GP. My ds went through an awful stage for a couple of months at that age. Try a bit of mindfulness to ease anxiety about it-there's a good wee app called headspace.

Keep talking about it 💐

It's tough xxx are you ok?

You aren't alone! Parenting a small child can be tiring and pretty thankless! 2 year olds can be esp tricky as they are going through some massive developmental leaps.
My best advice is to get yourselves out of the home as much as you can. Let her burn off lots of energy so she's exhausted by bedtime. I went a few months without any evening time to myself and I thought I was going to lose the plot!
Now we have good waterproofs and get out in almost any weather.

This is why this stage is referred to as "the terrible 2's"! It's hard work, it does get better. One step at a time, don't lose hope but as pp said kept an eye on your mh, no shame in having a chat with a GP if things seem
like they're spiralling out of control.
