My 3 and half year old will still not poo on potty. I have tried bribing with toys, telling him how clever he would be, reward chart, special pants - you name it I have tried it. He struggles a bit with his poos anyway - well he always stands up and has to be in a room on his own to do it. Wanted to give it a bash in Easter hols - but think it will be a no go - insists he needs a nappy on to poo. Even tried laying nappy in potty! Any advice would be appreciated, please.

I omce looked after a boy who totally refused to use a potty - he went straight onto the loo, have you tried that?

With DD1 we used chocolate! Everythime she did a poo in the loo or potty she got a couple of choc buttojs or magic stars for a wee she got a star and if she got 5 stars in a day she got a chocolate (if she didn;t do 5 wees's but had no accidents, she also got a chocolate). This has worked for several of my friends and they've even forgotten to ask for their chocolate/stars when they use the loo now.

Summer time is usually a good time for doing all this as you can get an extra long t-shirt, decorate it with you DS and he can go around with no pants on, well around you r house and garden he can anyway!

Good luck
