Has anyone taken their child to a food psychologist or being referred successfully by their GP for a fussy eating child?
He's almost five, hasn't always been such a difficult eater but has gradually got worse. Used to eat pretty much whatever I made but in the past 2 years or so will only eat a handful of foods. Literally.
Apples, ham sandwiches, pizza, beans on toast, scrambled egg, sausages.
The rest is the usual crap that all kids like! Which I try very hard to limit!
His little brother is the opposite and has a healthy attitude to good, although somewhat greedy. Will try anything and eat anything when hungry. His favourite foods are fruit and vegetables!
It's making life very difficult. There's resentment and guilt amongst other feelings.
Is there a solution?
Please don't offer the 'eat it or starve' solution as I've tried that and my daughter refused her tea 3 days in a row and went to bed very upset and very hungry. I just can't do it!!
