Cruising with 10mo

Hi all

Hoping to get advice/experience.

I'm going away with DH family on a week long cruise around the Med with my 10mo LG. It's a trip organised and paid for by PIL as they've wanted whole family to go away together for years. Very generous of them.

I am a tad first time mum/anxious/type A personality and as soon as it was booked worried about the evenings. Our cabins are presumably small as I'd expect on a ship (we have an indoor cabin which is the standard)

I was thinking initially my evenings were going to be a bit rubbish and lonely as I'd have dinner early and probably often miss out on the later family meal and then do usual bedtime routine (calm time, story, breastfeed, bed) as much as possible in cabin and put baby to bed in the cot they provide in room.

My PIL and DH said it'll be fine in evenings we'll just have baby in push chair and she'll go to sleep in there. But I'm worried she'll get overtired and we won't be able to follow her bedtime routine and she'll not sleep without loads of crying and then being pushed round the whole ship in which case id rather just stay in cabin and read??

Am I being a big worrier and it'll all be fine? Or shall I prepare myself and load up the kindle?

Thanks in advance all xx

Well, for she does require pushing around could the ones who suggest taking her out do the walking?
