Where to meet more mums with newborns?

Hi girls and boys I got a newborn that I adore so much but I would love to meet other mums to have a chat and cup of tea or at least some talk about baby poo. Where do I go for that? Most of the groups seem to be for older babies.

Download the mush app and then you can get people in your area with babies the same age. You can talk to them as long as you feel you want to before meeting. I met 2 ladies that live very close to me on there and we have all been friends around 3/4 months now. It's been great for me

I found children's centres were brilliant with DC1. Ours run sessions only for babies of a certain age range (0-6m, pre-crawlers, pre-walkers etc) which were smallish groups so it was easy to get to know a few of the mums. They had short courses like baby massage too which were good.
I found making mum friends was a bit of a numbers game though, like dating, so try and stick with it or try another group if you don't initially have success. Also, don't necessarily dismiss mums with slightly older babies. It sounds obvious but although a 4mo will dwarf your newborn at the moment, it really isn't so much of a gap and as the kids grow it becomes unnoticeable relatively quickly (I was guilty of this first time around).
