Talk to me about reusable nappies!

I've always been completely sold on cloth nappies, ever since I babysat a little girl in them when I was 14 Grin I use cloth sanitary pads and cloth face pad things so definitely need cloth nappies.

I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant but I want to start stocking up because as far as I can tell, they're not too cheap?
Can you put babies in them from birth or are they too bulky? What brands are available? Where do I even start!?!

Also, if anyone has an experience with reusable baby wipes, let me know!

Thanks Smile

Cost depends on the type of nappies - folding terry squares works out to be relatively inexpensive but cost does escalate with the more modern, slimmer nappies. There is a thread on here - no question too stupid reusable nappy - (sorry I'm not sure how to link it). Take a look through it and you will learn lots about the different types. Also complete a Nappy Lady questionnaire and she will give you fantastic advice. If you still have more questions after that, post on here and plenty will be willing to help.

We use reusable wipes, absolutely fantastic. No chemicals, washed with the nappies and cost next to nothing (stitched at home from large piece of cotton material).
