Has anyone used Fluffles from birth?

I've just taken delivery of Size 1 Bamboozles and Fluffles from the Nappy Lady. My nappy lady adviser has said that the poppered pad on the inside of the Fluffles that is stuffed into the pocket can be removed to reduce the bulk of the nappy if using them from birth. DD is 7lbs 10 at the moment so I think I probably should fold them down to get a better fit. Has anyone done this and can tell me how I should do it? I think I need to fold down the front of the nappy to expose the inside poppers so that I can attach the sides of the nappy to those poppers. Does that sound right and how long should I do that for?

I don't know about poppering them - I know you can fold the front into the pocket and the tabs sort of back in on themselves and do them up with a nippa...

Ah right, I don't have a nippa as all the nappies I bought were poppers. Maybe I can't fold it down then. As an alternative, has anyone used the size 1's from birth without folding down or are they just enormous?

It might work - its really just that there are only 2 poppers on the inside and I have visions of them coming adrift.

im assuming you have popper fastening fluffles? If you fold down the front on the fluffle as you mentioned to get to the poppers in the pocket then you will have quite a flap across the front. You could always try this to see how it fits and you may find its what you need to do to avoid the umbilical cord area if your dd still has it.

If you have the nippa fastening fluffle you should be a bit freer to fold down as you need it.

Whatever you do - 'grow' the nappy with your baby. You'll be able to see when the fit gets a bit smaller (and your dd bigger) that you wont need to fold the front etc

Hope this helps (and makes sense)

Thanks for your help ladies. My nappy lady adviser has said that what I need to do is remove the poppered pad and then fold the front down into the pocket and fasten it as normal so I will give that a try. All very confusing!
