Well i am truly amazed.

I was taught and it makes perfect sense to me for many reasons of infections etc that you could spread to your child private parts.

Wash with wipes the front area seperate from the back.
Then with new wipes to wash the bum area.

My mum use to swirl all poo and wee together front and back areas together. She use to never understand why i never wanted her to look after my children.

After 2 years of trying to teach her new ways.

I simply explained how would she like it if you poo'd your pants and had a period and wee'd and a giant had to change your privates the way you do. She soon got the picture and now she does it just fine.

I know nannies and mums fathers childminders etc. that do not use wipes on every bum change either.

Well maybe thats why i have never had a nappy rash or problems. I know plenty of adults that have problems down there. Maybe its because our carers could not change nappies....

Definitely separately, definitely new wipes for each area. Otherwise eeeeeew!

i wipe front, then back with clean wipes..i use a million wipes on mindees if theyve pood to make sure they dont get sore, then i let them dry and apply cream if needed..dd also never had nappy rash expect once when ill with virus.

And this is why reusable wipes are the way to go! Economy ceases to dictate how many wipes are used to get a bum sparkly again if you know you can just chuck them in the washing machine and use them again tomorrow.

Isn't a reusable wipe a cloth?

Smugtastic!

I change my boys exactly the same way. DS1 never had nappy rash, DS2 gets is sometimes.

Not sure why a period is relevant for nappy changing?

DH does some weird thing where he seems to scrunch the wipe up in his hand so he can only use the smallest area of it. Its all very strange.

i use toilet tissue to wipe from front to back and clear all the mucky poo, then use reuseable wipes to clean properly.

My motto is Front to back!
