Baby blues

I think I have the baby blues. Our baby is 4 days old and I can't stop crying.

Granted I only had 1 1/2 hours sleep last night. He was feeding from 9pm to 4am and the again at 6.30am.

My husband took him out with him for a drive for a couple of hours this morning so I can sleep so I'm feeling less tired but since then I'm just weeping.

I'm breastfeeding so my husband is doing all the nappy changes.

He's also doing all the housework, cooking, bringing me snacks, looking after my vegetables I'm growing, sorting out all the pets.

I'm literally just breastfeeding and crying.

I'm generally a happy non hormonal person so in just hoping I'm having a sad day today and all will be good tomorrow.

Yep baby blues! I had them! I remember looking at my baby and just sobbing
I also had sooo many stitches so was feeling traumatised and just generally awful!
But it passes!
Obviously if you still feel like this in a few weeks then deffo talk to your midwife but for now I think it's safe to say it's completely normal and you will feel so much better very soon, I promise
Congratulations xx
