1 year old appetite

I'm wondering if anyone else is in the same position or have any advice on a 1 year olds appetite. He's 13 months and can literally eat for England he would quite happily finish his dinner and would want more, if I'm still eating when he's done he will want mine too. Any time of the day he could eat and if he could eat all day given the chance I think he would! What I'm worried about is the amount he can eat at such a young age, like Should I be worried that he will be overweight? I mean we do eat proper home cooked meals with lots of fruit and veg but of course have a treat every now and again so it's a very balanced diet. And I know I should count my lucky stars that he's not a fussy eater and I do, it's just a worry. For example at parties well all have buffet food and every kid will have
Some bits of food, my boy will polish the lot and want more so sometimes it can be embarrassing (mainly due to other parents comments) .. I think I've rambled now lol ... any advice or experience would be great!!

My DS is 17 months nearly, he also had a huge appetite at 12/13 months and ate for England and had quite a bit of chub. 4 months later his appetite has evened out and he has slimmed down too. I allowed him much larger portions than kids of a similar age were eating but not completely unlimited.
