Hey guys , wondering if there's any vegans or vegetarians here ? Me and my husband are both vegan and we have an 11 week old baby girl

Kind of neither. My husband is pescatarian, and our 14 month old DD is dairy free. DD and I very occasionally eat meat.

Sorry probably not very helpful.

Our daughter is vegetarian, my dh pescatarian and I'm pescatarian but don't eat dairy - I still eat eggs though.

I'm vegetarian as are my two children (5 and 1), my DP isn't but we all eat vegetarian at home as I'm the one who cooks.

Hi, and congratulations on your LO!

We have both been vegan for around 18 years however I stared eating eggs from a local small holding when ttc with LO. Our daughter is 8 weeks old tomorrow.

What do you want to know OP? There's a vegan topic if that might help?

Hi! And congratulations!

I'm a vegetarian but DH isn't. Our DC were brought up eating family meals. Sometimes that included meat if DH was cooking.

At about 8 DS became veggie and at 13 DD has gone off most meat and is veggie too. Both are as healthy as can be. My DSis is vegan but her DD (3) is vegetarian for now as it's much easier at nursery.

You don't need anyone to tell you that it's important to make sure you cover all the nutritional bases for your DD. How you do that is your business!

My DP & I have been vegetarian for the past 30 years or so. My DD, who is now 16, has also been vegetarian since birth and decided to become vegan 18mths ago, so now, by default, we are all more or less vegan in our household (which is absolutely a good thing).

Throughout my pregnancy & my DD's early childhood there were a few stickybeaks with the inevitable where do you get your protein? whom I ignored. I found it best not to mention being vegetarian unless absolutely necessary as it is actually nobody else's business really even though random people do seem to think that they entitled to question you on your diet. I did buy some Deva vegan multivitamin/mineral supplements for my DD mainly to placate my DM's concerns. We sent DD to a Steiner school for primary school which probably made it easier for her & us as they are more accepting of 'alternative' lifestyles. My DD finds it tricky eating out socially at times, but has steadfastly been resolute in her choice.

Congratulations on your baby girl! Flowers Cherish every moment together as the time passes so quickly (and ignore the naysayers).
