3.5 month baby has been given omeprazole for reflux.
We have to give a tablet in 7.5mls water.
None is swallowed it's all gagged and choked back up. Spending over an hour calming down hiccuping, crying and struggling to breathe shes so wound up.
Any tips? X

We had the same experience when we started giving our baby omeprazole. Apparently it tastes hideous so I'm not surprised! We just kept on doing it, at the same time every day just before her bath, and she got used to it. She now opens her mouth when she sees the syringe even tho I don't think she loves it! I also give it to her in a number of mouthfuls so she's so she's not overwhelmed. Good luck, it worked wonders for my daughters reflux once she actually let us give it to her!
