Those with wambamboo's do you use the booster it comes with at all times?

They're very nice aren't they? Although I seem to have reduced mine to crusty with too much soap powder. I've been using the boosters from the word go, but depends how heavy a wetter your dc is.

LilRedWG · 26/03/2007 16:09

Yes, use the boosters the whole time. Fleece liners are good for keeping little bottoms dry to.

You'll need to wash them a few times before you use them for the first time. When you wash them, only use a half measure of powder and don't use fabric conditioner. You can soften them by putting a slug white vinegar in the fabric conditioner draw with some lavender oil, if you want it to smell pretty

Enjoy - I love my WBBs

Another yes to using the boosters otherwise you only have two layers of fabric.

I am seriously considering just gettig some bamboo terry to cuddle at night

i put my wbb on my boy today and it seemed tighter than before and its only his 3rd wearing of it - do they shrink?

Flamesparrow · 26/03/2007 19:56

They shouldn't do

nappyneeds · 27/03/2007 18:33

how are you drying them? I find my bamboo nappies (bamboozles and wbb) feel a little smaller after radiator drying/tumble drying. Perhaps a grape-raisin effect (iykwim) by drying them with heat rather than air drying - mine seem to 'shrivel' a tiny bit when theyve been on the radiator. I also find the pile of the nappies change slightly after a few washes (to fluff up and become more absorbent) maybe this has resulted in the fit feelin different. Either that or ds has seriously sprouted up .

Otherwise im with flame in that i dont think they shrink

snugglebumnappies · 28/03/2007 15:55

Bamboo will shrink if you wash it at above 60 degrees so if you ever do an occassional "nappy blast" very hot wash then leave your bamboo nappies out of it!

i washed at 40 and clagged on line outside then finished in dryer, had on today again and maybe he was having a fat day as dint seem as bad!
