Is there ever a 'right time'?

I know this has probably been done to death and there probably will never be a 'perfect' time. But Is there ever a 'right' or 'perfect' time to try for a baby. We already have a lovely bright little button of a 2 year old and would like a smallish age gap so are considering coming off contraception in September.

Things are right in that we both love each other very much and have a strong relationship. My parents have been a great support to us and live a street away. We are by no means rich and we don't own our home yet and my partners looking for another job so maybe not completely perfect but we would really like another child.

Did anyone feel the time they had their babies was 'right' or could it of been better?
