Breastfeeding after breast surgery

Wasn't sure what topic to post under to get the most advice and opinions.

I wanted to ask if anyone that had breast surgery were you able to breastfeed? If you were did you require any extra assistant? Could you only express?

I'm hoping to breastfeed. I've had surgery though and both nipples were removed and moved. (I was told at the time they didn't know if I could Breastfeed in the future )

I'm having a planned c section and a general anaesthetic. I do have an inverted nipple one side and I do take a lot of medication (from
Advice I've been told it would help baby wean off my meds if I breastfeed)
