DS's sudden flashing habit

I know it's just a phase, but is there any effective way of discouraging a 4yo from waving his willy about in public?

'We don't do that' doesn't seem to be working. I think he likes shocking me and his key worker.

I'm sorry op but GrinGrinGrin

Don't give him any attention for it as it sounds like that what he wants. A simple "put it away please" with a bored expression. Although I have two girls so possibly no idea what I'm talking about.

Film it for his 18th bday/wedding speeches? Grin

Also no first-hand experience but I expect turning around/ignoring to be the way to go.

Yep, I agree with the disinterested "put it away please" and then ignore as much as possible. If it gets a big reaction it'll be more attractive to keep doing!

If he continues, I think you do need to have some consequences for this behaviour. Staying calm and ignoring it is good if he stops, but if he doesn't, you're going to have to get serious about this.

Thanks all!

DH thinks it's hilarious, which isn't really helping. I think if we are more blasé about it the novelty will wear off much faster.

Fingers crossed Blush

Drawstring trousers. Tie them tight!!

amousehaseatenmypaddlingpool · 15/07/2017 22:39

I'd love to tie drawstring trousers on tight but we also have a getting to the toilet on time issue too.

Basically his willy is never out when it needs to be and regularly makes an appearance when it isn't Hmm

When you find a solution, do let me know so I can use it on DS2 (also 4)!

gamerchick · 15/07/2017 22:46

Oh god the willy waving. I'd blocked it out!

It does stop at some point. Be bored about it.
