Photography session, photos described as proof disk and with copyright

Hi all,

No idea where to have posted this but hoping someone may have some insight to something that may sound a little silly.

I'm organising a cash smash for my sons birthday. Think I have found a photographer that I like.

Images would work better for us on a disk and she sent me her price list. The heading for the disks is "PROOF DISK" with the various packages for disks and the price for them. What does it mean by proof disk?

Also underneath the package prices it says "WITH COPYRIGHT" so what does that mean?

I'm sorry this might sound incredibly stupid o some people but obviously I don't want images of her 'water mark' so to speak all over it. I just want the image and not her print all over it.

Hope someone can give some insight. Thanks x

Proof images will work on screen but won't be big enough files to print.

Then the pictures you like will be sent to you as larger files with permission to print yourself (that's the copyright bit).

Thank you! I thought that about the copyright bit but the proof disk threw me
