Parents who pit their siblings against each other

What are your thoughts / feelings about parents who pit their children against each other?

(Obviously I don't agree with this, but I've heard it happens a lot)

I not sure what you mean by 'pit them against each other'.

I mean parents who try to make siblings compete, enjoying conflict between them. "Divide and conquer" mentality. It sucks!
