Clingy toddler

My DD who is 2 next week is incredibly clingy, she literally follows me EVERYWHERE, even if I step out the room for 10 seconds she will start calling for me & rushing to come find me. I swear it's getting worse as well, she wakes a few times every night will not settle unless she gets is in our bed (partly my own fault for allowing this I know) I just feel I never get a moment to myself & just chill! I'm so fed up with it. Anyone else's DC like this? Or does anyone know when they grow out of this?

Mine was around that age, she's much more independent six months on but reverts back to clingy mode when very tired.

My daughter is exactly the same. She's just turning 2 but always has been like this. I never get a moment for myself, haven't even been on the loo on my own for 2 years, while her dad can chill on the sofa all day , cause she needs mummy for everything. So I can't give you advice, but be assured you're not alone.

My little girl is 3 and is still like this! I have an older son as well 7 and a younger girl 1y so you'd think she'd stick by them if I left her to grab something from another room but oh no she's under my feet every where!

She'll definitely grow out of it, this seems to be the clingiest age. The more independent they get the less they cling onto you because they want to do different things. It's quite suffocating but try and enjoy it, they don't stay small long Smile
