Weaning off breastfeeding

My DS was one a couple of weeks ago and still breastfed for his bedtime feed at 7pm and then often a couple of times in the night for comfort. Other than this I had slowly stopped breastfeeding him. As I dropped other feeds, I had no issues with pain/soreness but since I have stopped his night feed two days ago my breasts feel very sore and verging on painful to touch. Is this normal and will my body simply adjust and then the pain will go? Any tips to ease the pain?
