How does the whole HB thing work? Do you have to select a place to live first then apply? Presumably the landlord would have to accept DSS. Does anyone know any landlords etc that accept DSS preferably in East London?

DK unfortunatley a lot of East London landlors won't accept HB tenants because certain councils are so utterly awful about paying housing benefit that the landlords fear they will never get their money. However, keep looking.
