So I'm thinking of taking my 7 month old to messy play for the first time Shockbut how on earth do you clean them up afterwards? Confusedis it a case of baby wipe as best as possible and just bath at home? Does anyone have any tips? Feel like I'm being silly overthinking it Blush

Clothes that you don't mind getting ruined. I'd probably go with leggings and a top that are easy to change. Whip off the dirty ones (if you need to, they might not be too bad, depending on what they're using). Wipe hands and face. Put clean ones on. Shouldn't need a bath hopefully!

Thanks for the reply Smilephotos I've seen on someone's Instagram show the babies naked except a vest and sitting top to toe in baked beans. I was having second thoughts Shock

Grin If it's baked beans you might need a bath after! I'd maybe avoid baked bean week! Go when it's spaghetti or foam or something that won't be too hard to clean up.

My son is two and avoids the baked beans like the plague! I'm perfectly happy not to have to hose bean juice off him, tbh.

Just bring a change of clothes and don't feel obliged to sit them in the middle of the trays.

I take my kids to messy play, and vest and pants/nappies is standard attire. The class provides a basin of water for each kid at the end. They all love their post play basin bath!
