Mush App Etiquette?

I've downloaded the Mush app which is essentially a "dating" site for mums to arrange playdates etc.

I've sent a hello message to two people just saying something on the lines of "hello, I'm Keychange we are pretty local to each other with kids similar age, looks like we are both free fridays let me know if you'd like to meet up at a park"

Not had reply from either. I know its only 2 people but I wanted to check what other people's experience was and whether I'm approaching it wrong??

I have no mummy friends as I'm the only person in my social circle with kids, I've not enjoyed toddler groups very much so thought a more direct route would work hence the app.

I've been using mush for about a month or so now and have had a few people do this to me. You 'add' them, they accept, then they won't talk- very odd! I was talking to a couple of ladies for a few weeks and then they just stopped replying. I couldn't see any where that I'd said anything wrong.
I don't think what you said/wrote was in any way impolite. Maybe they have just been really busy :)

Thanks - I'm slightly worried it's my awful profile picture. I didnt have a photo to hand to did a selfie in the harsh kitchen lighting. As an experiment I might take one with a more "friendly" feel - cuddling a poodle or something.
