Hi mum's!

So I am getting rid of my stokke xplory because I really really REALLY hate it.

The things I hate are as follows:

The hood doesn't come down low enough to cover DD from the sun or to limit her vision when she's getting over stimulated

It doesn't have a basket for me to put shopping, coats etc

The handles are a funny shape so can't fit pram organiser etc

I just really really hate it lol

Tell me about your prams...what do you love? I don't want to get another one I hate as I already feel guilty about dh having to buy another.

Also....when first purchased we only planned on having one baby, now we want another so needs to be compatible with converting to a double.

Thanks ladies!

Uppababy Vista, ticks all the boxes and you can add a second full size seat! Absolutely love ours, it gets loads of use as we're on baby no. 2 but it's still going strong. Our biggest baby expense but we love it.

We got a Bugaboo Donkey when our second little girl arrived and I love it! In single mode it has a basket for you to put all your crap in. The hoods come really far down if you unzip them at the back so no worries about sun etc. Both children can face in either direction, the seats fully recline do great for naps.

It is pretty wide though, but all in all I love it!

BTW I never understood the appeal of the Stokke - they look liable to tip over and really impractical to push!

I've got a Graco Evo travel system and I love it.

We don't have a car so we're in and out of taxis all the time (very cheap in this country). I wanted a buggy with a car seat and good storage, that folds up and down easily. The hood can be pulled down quite far to protect from the sun, though I also have a SnoozeShade as the sun here is pretty fierce.

It was relatively cheap too. Ticks all the boxes

mamas and papas do nice ones that convert at a decent price but I absolutely love my MINI easywalker pushchair

Babyjogger city premier here. I love it, although I don't have anything to compare it to as this is the only pram I've ever owned!

Firstly, it's extremely simple to assemble and disassemble. I had nightmares about fighting with a pram in a supermarket car park, but it's a breeze.

The hood has a shade that can be used for naps/in sunshine and folded away easily. I can also unzip the back of the hood and there's a mesh panel so that I can see baby even if I turn the carrycot the other way. Also lets air in on hot days.

The basket on the bottom is big and sturdy and I regularly carry a fair bit if shopping and sometimes two small dogs in the bottom for miles.

It will also convert into a double buggy if needed. My baby is only 10 weeks so I haven't used the seat yet, just the carry cot, but I really do love it.

Silver Cross Wayfarer is very light and easy to put up and down. I loved mine. Now have a Baby Jogger City Lite which is also easy to put up and down and our toddler loves it. Massive hood too.

Cybex Priam.

Best pram on the market in my opinion.
Hood is xxl so pulls right down so no need for parasol.
Excellent easy access storage underneath.
One of the longest seats on the market so will last a long time,
Seat lies flat so no need for additional carrycot attachment if you don't want it.
Folds one handed.

the vista has a huge basket and a great pull down sun shield which is invaluable!. really easy to collapse and lots of little well thought out touches. it's great.

I have the Icandy peach. A lot of money but so worth it! It's so easy and effortless to push! Easy to fold away and it fold down really small. I can fit it in the boot of my 107 with it free standing! It comes with adaptors to turn it in to a double but you would have to buy and extra seat. I love it!!! Although it's had 8 months use but looks scratched now 😢 think it's just one of those things though.

If I'm honest everyone I'm out and see the stokke I think to myself what an ugly pram and looks awkward to push. I always thought the egg looked pretty though

I always knew I'd only ever have a silver cross. We went for the pioneer because we preferred it. We liked the bigger wheels and the larger basket.
It's a great Pram, we love it. And all the accessories are lovely as well.
If we ever needed a double I'd get the silver cross wave. Again I would only ever have silver cross.

We have a 19 month age gap and I love our Phil and Teds. It works well as a single or double. Pre second dc we had a Quinny which I also loved.

TheWeeWitch · 07/07/2017 21:43

Babyjogger city mini. Very deep hood, good size (fit DS1 until he was 4) large and strong basket, lies down flat, very light and has the amazing one-handed folding action.
