Hi all,
So it's my son's birthday this weekend, me and my partner had talked about getting joint presents (he only met my son in October but we,'re practically living together). When i mentioned I wanted to get separate cards he took it really badly, said after everything hes done for his birthday/party (which he does do a lot for him) that its reallly wrong for me to suggest it....we've been together about a year. Anyway so was just wondering was I in the wrong for suggesting or should he not have blew off about it? Thankyou x

I think you should give your own card, not a joint one.

Thankyou, hadn't expected anyone to reply so quick :)

Why would you get separate cards if you are getting joint presents?

Because I wanted to get a Son one and I'm rather sentimental about keeping cards x

My ex partner and I always brought separate cards for each other's children. Sometimes a joint gift but not always! In fact, I don't think they were joint! We were together 4 years!

I'm a LP and DS ALWAYS comes before any Mr. Right Now.

Stick to your own wishes and don't let him bully you.

Sorry I'm new... what's LP and DS stand for? X
