I've noticed - probably first about 2/3 months go - that my almost 5 yo has what I'm pretty sure is a smattering of grey hairs on the crown of his head. His hair is dark brown. I can't say for sure - maybe they're just very very light blond...but I think there are more and more of them, and they look a little more wiry than the rest!

He's donor conceived so I guess there is every possibility this may be in his genetic make up.... Might it also be a deficiency of some kind?

Anyone had this with their DC?

I had White hairs when I was 4, only a few, but got more as I grew older, in my family people go white very early.

My son has had a couple of white hairs at the front of his hairline since he was around 6 or 7, I think it's pretty normal. No one on either side of the family has ever gone grey early or anything that I know of

He might be developing poliosis, which is completely harmless, where you get a 'badger stripe' of grey hair.

My dd has a big streak of white hair at the nape of her neck. Looks really striking running through a plait. Doesn't bother her at all.

My DS12 has a 'badger patch' from poliosis. He's quite proud of it...

I've had some white hairs and patches of white skin since I was a child due to vitiligo.
