Paddling Pool

What do you do with the paddling pool at the end of the day?

Do you empty it every day and then refill the next day? Or leave it overnight if there are several days of nice sun?

Last year I emptied and refilled but this year we have a bigger one and it seems so wasteful. Not to mention that the sun warms it nicely if left. But I don't want the water to get gross.

What is the correct thing to do?

We leave it a few days. After day three it's not good to get in. We left it a week once and there were pond skaters on it Blush

Ah....I have a top tip for this! (I suppose the youngsters would call it a "life hack" Hmm) Grin

During the day, every so often, I go at it with one of those little nets you get at the beach, otherwise it gets bogged down in leaves etc (plus its handy to rescue insects if they fall in!)

In the evening, I skim it with the watering can, trying to get as many bits as possible, and use that to water the plants.

Then in the morning I top it up again.

Seems to keep it relatively clean for a few days.

Yes, we do that too Grin
