How much formula does your baby have a day and you offer water in the heat

No, at the age of your baby, you are not supposed to offer water as well

There is no point comparing YOUR baby with how much formula someone else's has either. THey're all different.

If your baby is making wet and dirty nappies, and putting on weight, they're having enough.

PLEASE speak to your GP or HV about your anxiety levels, the number of posts here suggests you're struggling

With any questions I usually start with the official NHS advice to see if anything is there - can help reassure you

Doesn't it usually give a recommended amount on the formula box? That's just a guide though, but it's a good start. Babies also go through growth spurts where they eat loads for a few days. Basically if they seem happy and are putting on weight, dirty nappies then just give them what they want.

Water is not advised before 6 months except on doctor's orders in exceptional circumstances. Even when my DS had a stomach bug at 5 months we were just told to increase his formula. Offer an extra bottle if you think they are dehydrated from heat
