DD nappy smells! What's causing this??

Can anyone help? DD is 6 months old and she has started to smell...well I mean her wee smells toxic. I frequently change her nappy - every 2 hours but the smell seems to be with her all the time. I had one lady comment about how DD needed a change but I'd just changed her...was really emabarrassed about this. I only use baby wipes to clean her so haven't changed anything in that respect. Was suggested that maybe she needs to drink more water. Any suggestions?

She may have a urine infection i would maybe take her to the gp, also give her water as this will help clear it.

Teething sometimes makes wee smell pretty foul?

Could it be the nappies?
Disposable or cloth?
Disposables always smell pee-like, it's the chemicals in them.
If cloth maybe they have soap build up. Try a wash with no powder and maybe add vinegar and tea tree oil if liked.

Has she started weaning? Something she ate could make it smell (eg asparagus makes adult wee smell odd).

i wouldget her checked for water infection as if it is an infection she will eed anti bs obviously and to get it sorted before it does any damage, if thatis the case. just been thru all that with ds1.

if its cloth nappies, agree with washing them without any powder, get the suds out.
