Nursery child escapes from nursery

Hi,
Wwyd about the following.
I was at school having a meeting about my asd child which over ran pick up time.
I found out today that at pick up when the other parents were picking up their children instead of my child being brought to me to the meeting room, my child managed to escape nursery and a fellow parent found him 60 metres away on the road looking for me. She returned him to nursery and 10 minutes later the meeting finished.

I am so cross because they have been warned that he is a bit of an escape artist and that despite seeing the staff since then nobody told me what happened only the parent told me that found and return him.

Any advice please?

Do you want your child to stay at the nursery? If you have lost trust in them I would come down like a tonne of bricks and complain to the local authority and ofstead.
If you want them to stay there you need to talk to the nursery about how they can rebuild your trust and what on earth they are going to do to prevent it happening again.
