Hi, can someone explain the 24 hour period is it the day and the night.

It's from say 8am one day to 8am the next day

or 9pm to 9pm

or midday to midday

OK so according to the weight formula calculations weight of baby tines 2.5 she should be drinking 20oz in 24 hours, she just over 8lbs, so that say from 5am to 5am

Yes so go from her first feed when you get up (personally I count 5am as still night time as I'd never be up that early!!) the until the same time the following day.

How old is your daughter? Are you worried she is not taking enough? Or too much? My son was 8lb 11Oz at birth so probably drinking a lot more than your daughter at the same age.

OP, you are clearly anxious and unsure, please please ring your GP or HV to get them to look at the baby.

We cannot really tell from the other end of a computer whether your baby is ok, even if we are HCPs
