Hi this may sound really stupid, jut I have a 5 week old baby, and she takes about 3-4oz every 3-4 hours, but when does a 24 hr period start? And how much in the period sorry I'm. Confused by it all

You could make a note of what feeds she has starting from, say, 9am in the morning. Write down all the feeds that she has until 9am the next morning. That's a 24 hour period - from a specific time on one day until the same time the next day.

Ah thank you, so much so if I go from 5am to 5am next day that 24 hours, according to the weight formula weight of baby in lbs times 2.5 it says she should be drinking 20oz in 24 hours, she just over 8lbs and 6 weeks

Yes, that's it. I wouldn't worry too much if she's having a bit more or a bit less than it says on the tin. It's only a guide.
