We took DS (2.9) out of nappies just over a week ago. He is doing extremely well and has had very few wetting accidents but absolutely refuses to use the toilet for a poo and just does it in his pants. Any tips for encourageing him to poo in the toilet.

I found it just takes a while. Try to be relaxed knowing it'll pass. It's early days yet.

Ignore it or you'll make an issue out of it. Just praise him for using the loo for wees. Both mine had been using the loo for a while but did their first few poos in the potty.

Took nearly 3 months here between being weeing in potty/toilet and pooing. Sorry, that's probably not what you want to hear!
Just keep calm (easier said than done at times) and remind him where he should poo.

A combination of chocolate buttons and realising that poo made a great noise in the toilet cracked it for us, then again she may just have been ready!
