How long has he been at the new school? Can he explain what it is that he isn't happy about - is he missing friends?

I have three boys. What is it about having boys that you find hard? Parenting three dc is often hard work but I honestly don't think their sex makes a difference.

Moving schools can be v challenging for kids. It was for me. Has your ds told you exactly what it is he doesn't like? Is he missing friends from his old school and if so, is there a way for him to stay in touch with them?

What? Confused

There's two separate issues here. The important one is how your eldest in settling in to his new school. The other less important issue is that it sounds like you wish you could do stereotypically "girly" things and wish you had a daughter to do that with.

Regarding your eldest and settling at school, it sounds like he's sticking with his old school friends but not making any new ones. Is there anyone he's a bit friendly with from his new school that you could invite round for a play date?
