I am spending too long readin mumsnet and now doing so much with my boys!!!???I can't stop it's driving me nuts. Think I'm going to have to set myself time
limits like I do with children.

If we ignore you for a while you'll get the hump and go play

I've tried that, and I find that when everyone's ignoring me on mn, I go and buy stuff on ebay.

LOL strap your fingers together or hide the keyboard.

Strapping fingers together doesn't work, I learnt to type with my nose.

Tee hee!

Timer is a good idea!

I hide the computer (laptop) in a cupboard when I feel tempted and I know I should be with the kids.

Then get it out when they are in bed and I should be cleaning the bathroom!

Why are we made to feel so guilty for having one little pleasure in life????I must admit I can't wait to get my lo's to bed so I can get onto MN. Two nights ago, I spent over an hour reading the MIL thread and feeling guilty as I was doing so as my "poor" husband was downstairs watching TV all alone. Not that he says anything, but I just feel bad.
I daren't go on MN during the day, otherwise DS wants to play computer games, and I'm trying to limit the time he spends on PC- out of sight out of mind!

I don't feel guilty about going on Mumsnet in the evenings when DH is around. He understands that I need time to myself for my interests and isn't going to go and pick on someone smaller or start trashing the house because he doesn't get enough attention.
Having said that, I rarely spend more than half an hour on here when he is around for the evening. No offence to mumsnetters but I'd rather spend child-free time sometime with him!
Lucky for me he's often away on business or gigging/practising with his band!
