How do I go about getting a diagnosis for this please?. DD has always struggled with comprehension and I had thought she was dyslexia, she did have an IEP in school til year 3 when she made good progress they took her off it, she also was referred to SALT in the past but again taken off. So I foolishly left it. She is now in year 6 and recently am bothered again by the issues she seems to have e.g following tv programmes, misunderstanding conversations which can cause a lot of tension. She is also having extra help in Maths, her reading is very good although comprehension not so much.
I have spoken to SN teacher and she is going to refer her to SALT again. Is it worth me taking her to GP as well?
