dd (3) will poo ok (soft ones) but after doing it she gets uncomfortable and cries out, holds her legs together and it says its her bum which is uncomfortable. Any ideas what this could be - i dont know if its fissure as her poos are soft and aren't hurting her to do the actual poo.

Thanks

has she been eating too many oranges or acid-type things that make her bottom sting when they get wet? It could be a fissure, even though the poo is soft.

she hasnt eaten oranges but we have had a couple of tomato sauce based meals (ie bolognese type) recently - are tomatoes acidic and maybe this is it. I did wonder if it was acidity. Thanks

both DD (5) and DS (2) have real bottom soreness if they have too much tomato/acid type foods so I have to really watch what I give them. Sometimes, DD has been creaming in pain whilst weeing/pooing. Hopefully, they'll grow out of it.
